The County Government of Uasin Gishu Department of Health Services will soon come up with the department’s County Integrated Development Plan 2018-2022.
This was discussed in a forum that saw Health stakeholders converge at an Eldoret hotel on Wednesday.
The plan will aid in fulfilling the department’s plans among them, the completion of some of the ongoing projects and those that will be placed according to certain priorities.
The relapsing 2014-2018 CIDP assisted the ten Uasin Gishu’s departments to meet their targeted plans.
According to the Chief Officer for Health Services Mr. Wilson Kemei, Uasin Gishu Governor H.E Jackson Mandago took into consideration the residents’ need of having fully operational facilities.
Kemei added that H.E Mandago saw the need of reducing the distance of around 5kms that used to exist in between a facility to the other by establishing more that 27 new facilities.
“Improving the department’s infrastructure, equipping and offering the best services will see the county residents much healthier” explained Kemei.
Other County departments had various discussions on the coming up of 2018-2022 CIDP.
