The County Department of Health Services on Thursday held a meeting at the county headquarters with Subcounty, urban and ward public Health officers Chaired by Health services CECM Mrs. Everlyne Rotich
The meeting discussed several issues including responsibilities of County public health officers, preventive and promotive targets, public health indicators and data reporting and review among other issues aimed at improving quality of care.
The County Executive further challenged the officers to enforce the rule of law without fear or favor as far as public health is concerned and urged them to discharge their duties diligently and always have the interests of the public at heart.
Public Health is important because you become the voice for individuals who have no voice and simply put, your influence on the improvement of someone’s health can be a great satisfaction,” said Rotich”.
She added that the department is committed to seeing improvement of health in the County and has put in different strategies to address public health issues
Also present during the meeting was the Ag Chief Officer Health Services Kenneth Mbeka.
