The County Government of Uasin Gishu will complete database and the Geographic Information System (GIS) for all the traders across the County by 2020.
So far, the department of ICT has begun mapping out of business premises in Racecourse and Huruma Wards.
County CEC for ICT, Trade and Industrialization Dr. Emily Kogos says currently the County’s revenue collection system (UG-Pay) has five components that help in streamlining revenue collections.
“Soon, we will be generating invoices for business people. By then, licence compliance will be easy to track down” said Kogos.
Dr. Kogos was speaking today in her office when the County Assembly chair for ICT and Trade member Peter Chomba who is also the Huruma ward Mca paid her a courtesy call.
Chomba was keen on the process of licensing application, renewal and how verification of license legitimacy is done.
Present during the meet was ICT Ag. CO Titus Kimaiyo, his counterpart for Trade and Industrialization Kipleting Mengich, departments directors and the licensing officers.
