County Executive Committee Member for Co-operatives and Enterprise Development Fund, Ms. Esther Mutai, has challenged staff under her department to embrace teamwork for them to reach their targets.
Speaking on Friday in her office during a staff meeting, the CECM urged them to be eager to learn from each other, be ambitious and
passionate about their work and promised to prioritize staff development.
“More emphasis on customer care training for our officers is necessary since co-operatives is one of the departments that interact so much with the public” Added the CECM.
The Chief Officer for the Department Mr. Isaac Lagat said the departmental targets will be cascaded downwards to the lowest level and officers evaluated on a quarterly basis and recommendations for promotions based on individual performances.
County Commissioner for Cooperatives Ms. Roselyn Rae thanked the CECM for making staff training a priority.
Top on the agenda was the work plan 2018/19 execution, staff development, staff leave management, annual targets, 2018/19, placement of interns, among others.
