Uasin Gishu County Health Services CECM Dr. Everlyne Rotich on Wednesday hosted a team from the Ministry of Health, Kenya Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training program who paid her a courtesy call at her office.
Speaking during the meeting, Rotich expressed her Departments’ willingness to partner with the Kenya Field Epidemiology and Laboratory training program in system strengthening of the county’s capacity to respond to public health emergencies.
The Health Executive also took the opportunity to urge members of the public to continue adhering to MOH guidelines in the fight against COVID -19, as it’s important in lowering the number of transmissions.
Leading the team, Elias Lentilai an Epidemiologist in the Ministry of Health said that the main purpose of their visit was to work with the county health management teams to support response to the scourge and assess response in the community.
