Health Department rolls out Annual performance review
The County Government of Uasin Gishu Department of Health have rolled out annual Health performance review across all the six Sub Counties in a move that will see its facilities improve on matters health.
The initiative is geared towards analysing and highlighting challenges that the health sector at the Sub County level encounter as well as providing way forward in eradicating challenges for better services.
According to the county executive in charge of health Mrs Margaret Chepkwony, annual review provides an overview of all the facilities’ progress across the County.
Chepkwony, while addressing representatives from various County facilities on Wednesday at Poa Place Resort, said they are working to ensure all facilities access and adopt Health Management Information System (#HMIS) to aid in management of patient’s records.
“We want to see our facilities operate paperless like Huruma Sub County Hospital” noted Chepkwony
She added that they are working on equipping the facilities with drugs and other equipment to ease service delivery.
“We will incorporate the transfers of our health staff to work in other Sub Counties. This will make them active and familiarise with every corner of the county and its facilities”. Reiterated Chepkwony
