The County Government of Uasin Gishu in collaboration with Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) has distributed essential medical supplies to all county hospitals.
The move is geared towards enabling facilities across the county operate fully within the three-months of transition as the county ushers in financial year 2016/2017.
According to the county executive for health Ms Margaret Chepkwony, the facility officers will deliver services to the public as the county continue working on the ways of fully stocking the facilities with enough drugs.
“The issues of drugs has been critical but we are assuring the public that the already supplied drugs are enough for every facility for the transition period “said Chepkwony
The supply which cost more than Ksh 8M comes some days after the closure of the last 2015/2016 financial year.
