As more farmers embrace fish farming, The County Government of Uasin Gishu, fisheries directorate on Friday conducted a eat more fish campaign aimed at increasing per capita consumption of fish from local farmers.
CECM for Agriculture Samuel Yego urged the residents with the capacity of establishing fish ponds to do so since the county has enough fingerlings. He further assured them of a readily available market within the region.
Today being World Food Day with the theme – “Grow, nourish, sustain.Together. Our actions are our future.”, Chief Officer Livestock Development and Fisheries Dr Victoria Tarus urged those with parcels of land to utilize them to increase productivity as the county works towards food security.
