The County Government of Uasin Gishu Department of Agriculture through Kenya Climate Smart Agriculture Program(KCSAP) has funded 153 groups with different value chains across the selected six wards in the county.
Out of these,14 groups specialised in Irish potato farming, and most of them have harvested.
Speaking on Friday in Ainabkoi Olare ward, on a visit to various groups that benefitted from the program, Agriculture Chief Officer Julius Rotich assured the farmers, quality potato seeds, saying it will be available since most of the farmers are producing them locally.
Continue working hard in your various groups so that you grow economically and for the County’s economy to also improve. This is the idea of the donor” said Rotich.
