Governor Jackson Mandago, EGH on Tuesday presided over the ground breaking of construction works for the Eldoret campus of the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) at Outspan in Ngeria Ward.
Speaking during the event, Mandago thanked the Ministry of Information for accepting to set up the first KIMC campus in Eldoret. He also thanked locals in Ngeria for agreeing to host the project in the ward.
The campus already admitted students and have graduated the 1st cohort in December 2021 at their current makeshift campus in Pioneer, Eldoret. The county government of Uasin Gishu sponsored 30 students (one from each ward). The Governor expressed optimism that the campus will help open up Ngeria ward.
