Uasin Gishu County deputy governor, H.E Daniel Chemno on Monday received the Confederation of African Football (CAF) delegates who paid him a courtesy call to discuss matters concerning facilities, and measure its readiness for hosting the upcoming CHAN 2018 tournament.

The deputy governor promised them total support from the county and assured them that everything is on course regarding the renovation of Kipchoge stadium.

“ I want to assure you that the renovation of Kipchoge Stadium will be completed in time, considering that we have a wide range of skilled personnel in our county” H.E said.

The CAF delegates who were accompanied by Football Kenya Federation(FKF) officials and CHAN 2018 committee representatives applauded Uasin Gishu terming it the best place for sports ,with  good road network, best hospitality facilities and availability of an International Airport.

Kenya is set to host the 2018 African Nations Championships(Chan) at different venues across the country, Uasin Gishu County  being among them.
