County Executive Committee Member incharge of Education, Social Services, Culture, Youth Affairs and Sports continues to rally youths to join Technical and Vocational Education to gain skills for self-employment.
Kurgat said this in Langas Ward while distributing sports equipment to 19 youth groups.
Mr Kurgat noted that the county is committed to meeting the talents of its youth as well as making them resourceful through sports.
“Sports is like any other career but during your free time you can as well enrol in one of the Vocational Training Centres and gain skills to build yourself,” said Kurgat.
On his part, the area MCA Hon. Francis Muya advised the youth to shun away from dangerous vices like engaging themselves in drugs.
“Be disciplined in the fields and out of the fields, that is the way to succeed,” said Muya.
Sports director Mr Henry Mukholwe was present during the event.
