Financial institutions play a key role in the fight against COVID – 19, Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno has said.
Speaking on Tuesday at the county headquarters, while receiving a consignment of food donations from Gulf Africa Bank, Chemno thanks banks for easing the loan burden on Kenyans, delisting clients from Credit Reference Bureau and donating resources towards the fight against the global Pandemic.
“We are thankful for your support, these bales of flour will be distributed to vulnerable families and this intervention will enhance social distancing,” CECM for Health Evelyn Rotich said.
While handing over the 150 bales of assorted wheat and maize flour, the bank’s branch manager Ruweda Abdulla said her organization will continue to support the county government in ensuring the disease does not hurt the county’s economy.
