COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD


Uasin Gishu County Government is seeking to recruit qualified and competent persons to fill the post of Members to the Eldoret
Municipality Board and Municipal Manager as per Section 14 and 28 of Urban Areas and Cities Act, 2011.

1. ELDORET MUNICIPALITY BOARD MEMBERS- FOUR (4) POSTS ( Re -advertisement)

Requirements for Appointment:

a) Be a Kenyan Citizen

b) Is ordinarily resident or has a permanent dwelling in the Municipality

c) Carries on business in the Municipality or

d) Has lived in the Municipality for at least five (5) years

e) Be a person of integrity and in compliance with requirements of Chapter Six of The Constitution of Kenya 2010.

NB: Proof of requirements in (b) (c) or (d) is mandatory

Terms of Office: A Member of the Board shall hold office for a term of five (5) years on a part-time basis.

2. MUNICIPAL MANAGER – JG ‘Q’

Requirements for Appointment:

a) Be a Kenyan citizen

b) Holds a Degree in Social Sciences from a university recognized in Kenya or its equivalent

c) Has proven experience of not less than five years in administration or management either in the public or
private sector.

d) Has undertaken a Management Course lasting not less than four weeks

e) Has excellent analytical and reporting skills

f) Has good communication and mobilization skills

g) Be a person of integrity and in compliance with requirements of Chapter Six of The Constitution of Kenya 2010.

Terms of Service: Three (3) Year Contract

clearances from KRA, CBR, HELB, CID and EACC in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “Application for Member – Eldoret
Municipality Board” or “Application for Municipal Manager” should be addressed to:

Hand Deliveries to be dropped to:
The County Public Service Board Offices, County Head Quarters Room 114.
Applications close on Thursday 13th June 2018.

1. The functions of the Municipality Board and responsibilities of the Municipal Manager are found in the Urban Areas and
Cities Act, 2011 Section 20 and 21. The same can be accessed on the County website: www.uasingishu.go.ke
