Deputy Governor on false leaflets

Deputy Governor Uasin Gishu County H.E Daniel Chemno  has asked the county residents to desist from false propaganda being spread on the social media that intends to portray the county’s image negatively.
The false information written on some  fake letters with fake letter heads and rubber stamps  shows how the county is planning to evict people living in the municipality houses in the name of renovating them.
The leaflets also indicates that the county is planning to reallocate some of the markets on the grounds of rehabilitation.
The sentiments which the county executives for Trade  Phillip Melly and his Lands counterpart Robert Ng’isirey have refuted.
According to Phillip Melly, the county has no plans of reallocating the existing markets rather they have  plans of establishing new ones.
“Reallocation  of existing markets doesn’t fall in our work plan”added Melly
On his part the lands CEC explained that the letter heads does not resemble the ones in his office.
Ng’isirey said their plans were to develop houses and that plans of moving people from their houses does not exist.
The deputy governor called on their opponents to be wise and look for real issues not depending on propaganda that may create fear and anxiety on the people.
Chemno said:”Everyone has a right of being in Uasin Gishu and a right of doing business. That’s why as a county we keep being attractive to investors”
The county officials were speaking on Monday  during a press statement at the county headquarters.
