Uasin Gishu County on Wednesday held orderly nominations for Jubilee Party delegates who will participate in the party’s nominations next year.
H.E Governor Jackson Mandago, MPs Oscar Sudi (Kapseret) and Edwin Barchilei (Soy), Senator Isaac Melly and Assembly Speaker Isaac Terer attended the exercise held at an Eldoret Hotel.
Governor Mandago praised the exercise, saying Jubilee was one party that gave equal opportunities for anyone contesting for a position.
“There was order in today’s (Wednesday) exercise and as leaders, we want to congratulate our people for this,” said Mandago.
He added that Jubilee Party is a political vehicle that observes democracy and one that will advance Kenya’s development agenda.
Governor Mandago also appealed for peaceful politicking even as the official vote hunt period nears start
