The Kapseret Sub County People Living with Disabilities fund appraisal committee is gearing towards the issuance of the 2nd phase of the fund to the beneficiaries across the Sub County.
The Sub County is earmarked to receive a PWD fund worth ksh1, 124,000 from the County Government of Uasin Gishu. The funds will be distributed to all beneficiaries across the Sub County’s 5 wards. This will see every ward receive ksh 224,000.
The committee chaired by the Sub County administrator Mr. Phillip Biwott has identified an average of 20 people who will walk away with ksh10, 000 each.
In the first phase, 50 people in every ward benefited where ksh2.6m was issued.
According to Biwott, those being considered did not benefit from the first phase. And the next phase beneficiaries will be those who miss out on both the first and the second phases.
